Minnesota fans of Blaine Anderson on the hit Fox show "Glee" will soon have the chance to see the actor who plays him in concert.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Darren Criss has announced a 16-date summer concert tour on Twitter, which includes a June 10 show at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis.

Criss joined the cast of "Glee" in the show's second season in 2010.

In a statement announcing the tour, Criss said: "I couldn't think of a better way to spend the summer than being on the road and doing live shows."

The singer-actor added that he wanted to do "something bigger than what I've done before -- more cities and new music." He also called the tour "a real opportunity for me to connect with all the people who’ve supported me through the years, as well as a chance to get new folks excited."

Pre-sale tickets go on sale Thursday on Criss' Facebook page, and general ticket sales begin Saturday.

The tour kicks off May 29 in Criss' hometown of San Francisco.

THR says Criss will be previewing songs from his forthcoming album and perform songs from his 2009 self-released EP, "Human."
