Gretchen Carlson to give keynote address at Miss Minnesota benefit
"Fox & Friends" co-host and former Miss America Gretchen Carlson is coming home to Minnesota to speak at Miss Minnesota Scholarship event next month, the Pioneer Press reports.
Carlson -- the former Miss Minnesota who was named Miss America in 1989 -- is set to give the keynote address at the benefit for t the scholarship fund for the Miss Minnesota Scholarship Pageant on June 14th at the Mall of America's Radisson Blu Hotel.
Two other Miss Minnesota-turned-Miss Americas -- Dorothy Benham (1977) and BeBe Shopp (1948 ) are also expected to be at the event.
Tickets for the benefit are $75 each at available at the Miss Minnesota website.
Carlson, an Anoka native, has been a co-host on the Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" since 2008. She is also a contributor to the "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News Channel.
Prior to her stint on "Fox & Friends," Carlson was a correspondent for CBS News and co-anchor of the "CBS Saturday Early Show."
