On Wednesday, Halsey took to Instagram to apologize to fans who planned to see her perform a full set during her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour stops in Canada. The announcement led to questions about the status of the rest of her tour, including a date at the Xcel Energy Center this week.
The "Now or Never" singer stated that a personal emergency caused her to dip out of her Alberta show midway through her set on Tuesday evening. This week's shows in Calgary and Edmonton have been canceled. Leading up to the shortened show, she tweeted she was "in a funk" on Tuesday.
She posted this message on Instagram: "There are very few things in this world that could make me stop a show, and my fans know that. This is breaking my heart but I have to take a few days to gain my composure so I can put on the best show possible in Minneapolis and finish out the tour with a bang."
In an edited caption, she confirmed that the rest of the tour would go as planned starting with her St. Paul stop at Xcel this Saturday. Charli XCX and PartyNextDoor will be rejoining Halsey as opening acts in this first installment of her world tour.
