Here it is: The free entertainment lineup at this year's State Fair

Start planning now, the Minnesota State Fair has announced more than 900 free shows for this year's Great Minnesota Get-Together.

Musical performances, dog shows, karaoke contests, skateboarding competitions and trampoline shows are slated for the fair's free entertainment lineup, which was announced Tuesday morning.

The fair’s major free stage – the Leinie Lodge Bandshell Tonight! – will host several musical acts, including G. Love & Special Sauce, Marty Stuart, A Great Big World, Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters, The Spinners, and War.

All these shows start at 8:30 p.m. and are free with the price of fair admission. Click here for the schedule.

There are several other stages that will have live musical performances throughout the week. Click here for more information on those.

If music isn’t your thing, families can head over to The North Woods to see the All-Star Stunt Dogs Splash and Timberworks Lumberjack shows, check out the Flippenout Extreme Trampoline Show at Expo Place, or visit 3rd Lair SkatePark’s The X-Zone as professionals show off their skateboard and BMX bike skills, among dozens of other shows.

Other State Fair goodies will be announced in the coming weeks, including the new foods for 2016 in June, while new attractions and exhibits will be revealed in July, the State Fair says.

The Minnesota State Fair runs from Aug. 25 through Labor Day, Sept. 5.
