NBC has released more information about how to get tickets to The Tonight Show in Minneapolis, after the Super Bowl on Feb. 4.

The Twitter account for the Jimmy Fallon-presented show announced that tickets for the show at the Orpheum Theater will be made available at 10:30 a.m. central on Friday, Dec. 22.

The good news for applicants is that like all The Tonight Show recordings, tickets are free. They also cannot be resold (NBC will revoke them if you try this).

The bad news is it's going to be incredibly difficult to get them, given demand will be huge for what is likely to be a star-studded show.

NBC has more information on what you need to do to apply for tickets here, but here are the key points.

BEFORE you apply, you need to sign up with Iota here. This is the company that gives out the tickets.

Once you've done that, the page where you apply for the tickets is this one.

Unfortunately for any young fans, you can't go to the show if you're under 16 years old. What's more, everyone who has reserved tickets needs to bring photo ID with their date of birth to the Orpheum before they can get in.

Typically when you apply, you'll be placed onto a waiting list, with the show contacting you within two weeks if you've successfully got tickets.

If you don't hear anything, you don't get tickets.
