Rock legend Elton John is returning to the Twin Cities in November for a stop on his latest concert tour, the Star Tribune reports.
John will play the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Nov. 22 in support of his upcoming album "The Diving Board."
Tickets for show go on sale Sept. 16. Ticket prices have not yet been announced.
"The Diving Board," featuring music by John and lyrics by his longtime collaborator, Bernie Taupin, will be released Sept. 24.
The album, John's first studio release in seven years, is produced by frequent Coen brothers movie music supervisor T Bone Burnett.
John, 66, last played the Twin Cities in 2009 with Billy Joel on the piano men's "Face to Face" tour.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer also played Mankato last year.
The Mankato Free Press says John wowed 7,000 fans at the sold out show in April 2012 at the Verizon Wireless Civic Center.
The famed singer also played Duluth in 2011, selling out the 7,500-seat Amsoil Arena in a matter of minutes, the Pioneer Press reported.
