If you love beer, the best place to go at the Minnesota State Fair is the Agriculture/Horticulture Building.

That's where the Land of 10,000 Beers exhibit is. And for $10 (cash or credit card), you get a flight of four, 5-ounce pours of different beers from Minnesota breweries.

There will be about 300 different beers from nearly 70 local breweries at this year's exhibit. The beers will be rotated through on six different flights, which are based on style.

Here are the flights to choose from:

  • Crisp and clean.
  • Malty and sweet.
  • Dark and roasty.
  • Hoppy and bitter.
  • Fruity, spicy and tart.
  • Better Beer Society Blue Ribbon Flight.

It's the best of the best of the beers being poured at this year's exhibit.

The beers on the flight will be picked by the Better Beer Society's certified cicerones (aka beer experts).

This flight is similar to last year's cicerone select flight. For more information on how those beers were chosen, click here

In addition to pouring a bunch of delicious beers, the exhibit – presented by the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild – aims to teach people more about beer.

There will be daily education programs and presentations – you'll be able to find the schedule here when it's released. Past years have featured presentations from brewers from around the state talking about different styles of beer or what they're doing that's unique.

The Better Beer Society's cicerones will also be walking around to answer questions and offer up suggestions for the best beer to drink while stuffing your face with different State Fair foods.

In the exhibit, there will also be posters and galleries so you can learn more about how different styles of beer are brewed, as well as highlight the history and culture of brewing in Minnesota.

The Land of 10,000 Beers exhibit isn't the only place to get Minnesota made beer at the fair. This year, there will be 16 new State Fair exclusive brews. For more on those – and where to find them – click here.
