Guy Fieri was in Minneapolis Wednesday.

The Food Network star was filming an episode of "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" at Prairie Dogs in Uptown, according to MSP Magazine.

Fieri has visited Minnesota several times to film the show, including stops at Bayport BBQ, Nye’s Polonaise and Victor’s 1959 Cafe in Minneapolis, the Nook in St. Paul, Donatelli’s in White Bear Lake, Gordy’s Hi-Hat in Cloquet and the Northern Waters Smokehouse in Duluth, among others.

MSP Magazine's Stephanie March was invited to be in the background while the "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" crew filmed at the fast-casual hot dog eatery Wednesday. She wrote about the experience, saying Fieri was "nothing but nice and seeming to really dig the hot dogs and appreciate what Prairie Dogs was doing."

They weren't allowed to take photos, but March did snap one of Fieri as he left the restaurant after the 90-minute shoot:

Prairie Dogs says it takes the simple hot dog and sausage "to new levels of craftsmanship and flavor." The restaurant's menu lists toppings one wouldn't normally think to put on encased meats, like a sunny egg, foie gras or house-made kimchi.

There's no word on when the episode will air, but being featured on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" is typically good for business, according to Twin Cities Business. BringMeTheNews has reached out to Prairie Dogs for more details on Fieri's stop at the restaurant.
