Jaden Smith celebrates Roc Nation record deal with new music

Serious visual game on this one.

Jaden Smith, aka Batman, recently released two singles after being signed to Roc Nation.

One of the two releases, "Batman," was previously only released in a visual format. In the video for the repetitive and downtempo rap track, Smith goes from rocking graphic streetwear to running around Hollywood in his familiar, all-white Batman suit.

The 19-year-old artist originally debuted his statement superhero costume at both prom and Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's wedding back in 2015.

Speaking of Kanye, Jaden's second single strays away from a strict rap sound. Rather, "Watch Me" has an upbeat, punk vibe similar to several Yeezus tracks. The lyrics are backed with angst and include, "I got the fire flow, the department exhausted/I owe nothing to you/I'm in the tahoe, man you making me nauseous/Pullin up with the crew."

Smith's record deal was essentially a package, as he was signed with two other members of his artistic collective called MSFTrep. His younger sister and smooth singer Willow Smith and musician Harry Hudson also joined the Roc Nation family with Jaden.

Roc Nation CEO Jay Brown told Variety, “The mission behind MSFTS Music is inspiring. Jaden, Willow and Harry are embracing their individuality and turning it into art. MSFTS Music promotes and believes in freedom of expression and Roc Nation is proud to support and promote that message.”

Although a release date for Jaden's upcoming album, Syre, is yet to be announced, you can follow the constant flow of music, art and fashion of the creative MSFTrep squad here.
