Local broadcast personality Tony Fly gets show at My29

Former K-Twin personality Tony Fly has landed at MY29, the Pioneer Press reports.

Fly will host "On the Fly" on WFTC My 29 starting July 22. The show -- which will air Monday through Friday at 11 p.m. and repeat the following morning at 8 a.m. -- is a one-hour entertainment program.

He tells the Pioneer Press that it will be a "fast moving, content-filled show" with "some fun and laughs" and games. Fly also said the show will be "very active on Facebook and Twitter" and will have phone calls and Skype guests.

Joining Fly for the endeavor will be Fox 9 traffic reporter Kelsey Soby and former KTWN producer Dan Edwards.

Fly was laid off from K-TWIN July 31 after 11 years with the station's parent company, Northern Lights Broadcasting.
