Longtime Twin Cities radio talk show host Tommy Mischke has parted ways with WCCO-AM.
The radio station said Mischke made the announcement on the air Thursday night, where he was the host of the Nite Show from 10 p.m. to midnight.
Mischke has been a voice on Twin Cities radio for 22 years, spending nearly half of his career hosting The Mischke Broadcast on KSTP-AM.
"He's walking, not being pushed, which is rare in the radio host business, and even more so in 2013 in the AM radio business," former KSTP-AM colleague Patrick Reusse said in a Star Tribune piece about Mischke's departure.
"In those two-plus decades, he charmed every listener who tuned in with his own unique brand of quirk and quips," said Daphne Adato, news director at WCCO radio.
