A famous Minnesota native apparently doesn't know his way around the Twin Cities anymore.

The Woodbury Police Department says two of its officers got to meet comedian Louie Anderson on Sunday when he stopped in the city to ask for directions.

The agency posted photos on Facebook of the two officers with Anderson and wished him "safe travels."

Anderson, who won an Emmy for his role in the FX series Baskets, grew up on the east side of St. Paul with 10 siblings. On Baskets he plays the mother of the main character, which he says is based off his own mother.

It looks like the 64-year-old paid a visit to Costco over the weekend, with comments on Anderson's Facebook page saying he was in Woodbury. (He was also wearing a Timberwolves hat.)

Last month he was in the Twin Cities for four stand-up shows
