Love in the newsroom: Anchor, producer at local TV station get engaged

If Brianna Long and Bill Fay do a story about their lives, what happened last week will probably make a heartwarming kicker.

The two newsroom co-workers at ABC 6 in Rochester – Long a morning anchor and Fay a producer – got engaged last week, the station said on Facebook.

The happy couple celebrated on Twitter too.

Long is a morning anchor who actually started at the station as a production assistant, intern and reporter after growing up in Minnesota, according to her bio. She then went to Omaha, where she spent a year as a reporter, before returning to Rochester.

Fay is a producer and fill-in sports anchor for the station, which he's been with for just over three years now according to his bio on LinkedIn. He worked at WDIO before that, and went to the College of St. Scholastica.

We're guessing Fay didn't put the proposal in his rundown for the newscast.
