Mechanical bull from 'Urban Cowboy' finds new home in Woodbury club

A major piece of movie memorabilia from the 1980 John Travolta film "Urban Cowboy" has found a home at a new club in Woodbury, the Woodbury Patch reports.

The mechanical bull -- which was one of the centerpieces of "Urban Cowboy" -- has been acquired by Cowboy Jacks.

The club, which was formerly Woody's Roadhouse, opens Monday.

Cowboy Jacks owner Chris Diebold told the Woodbury Patch that the mechanical bull came from the Texas bar Gilley's, which served as the backdrop for "Urban Cowboy."

Diebold said he called a mechanic to work on the bull because "it ran like crazy" and "it would kill you."

Now, he said, it runs so both children and adults can ride it.
