"Carrie: The Musical" runs Oct. 4-27 at the New Century Theatre in Minneapolis. Debuting on Broadway in 1988, "Carrie The Musical" tells the tale of Carrie White, a misfit bullied at school by the popular crowd and at the mercy of her loving, but cruelly over-protective mother.
Carrie, however, has also just discovered she has special powers and is not afraid to use them.
The company is also staging a quintet of witty vignettes called "Five Course Love" from Jan. 24-Feb. 16, 2014, and the comedic rock musical "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson," which runs June 6-29, 2014. The shows will also be playing the New Century Theatre.
All three shows will be directed by Minneapolis Musical Theatre's artistic director Steven Meerdink.
Tickets are available at the Hennepin Theatre Trust website.
The Minneapolis Musical Theatre's last production of its 2012-13 season, "Sunset Boulevard," opens Friday at the New Century Theatre.
