Miss Minnesota Rebecca Yeh of Brainerd was fourth runner-up in the 2014 Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, N.J., The Associated Press reports.

Miss New York Nina Davuluri took the Miss America crown. Davuluri, 24, became the first woman of Indian heritage to win the title.

The win marked the second consecutive year Miss New York took the title.

Davuluri, whose talent routine was a Bollywood fusion dance, ran on the pageant platform of "celebrating diversity through cultural competency."

The first runner-up was Miss California Crystal Lee. Other top five finishers included Miss Florida Myrrhanda Jones and Miss Oklahoma Kelsey Griswold.

Yeh won in the preliminary talent competition last week with her classical violin performance to earn a $2,000 scholarship.

Minnesota has had three Miss America winners in the history of the pageant, which began in 1922. BeBe Shopp became the first Miss Minnesota to take the Miss America crown in 1948, followed by Dorothy Benham (1977) and Gretchen Carlson (1989).

Like Yeh, Carlson performed on violin for the competition.
