USA Today is confirming what we already know: Minneapolis is a pretty great place to visit.

The paper published a list of "Nine places that aren't on your bucket list (but should be)," and Minneapolis was one of only two places in the U.S. to make the list.

"If the word 'Minnesota' doesn’t spark thoughts of brewery-hopping, outdoor adventure, live music and historic art, then it’s time to get acquainted with Minneapolis," USA Today writes.

The paper touted all there is to do in Minneapolis, from the growing food and craft beer scene to outdoor activities like visiting Minnehaha Falls, and the many parks and lakes. Minneapolis' art museums, concert venues and beloved cultural scene were also mentioned as reasons for people to visit the "unexpected – and easy to reach – U.S. city."

And if you're looking to add to your travel bucket list outside of the typical tourist hotspots, here are the other eight places that made USA Today's list:

  • Houston, Texas
  • Portugal
  • Bolivia
  • Mallorca, Spain
  • Sri Lanka
  • Slovenia
  • Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
  • Oman
