Mumford & Sons to play Twin Cities in September

The London-based hit folk group Mumford & Sons has scheduled a tour stop in the Twin Cities this fall, WCCO-TV reports.

Mumford & Sons' "The Full English" North American Tour will make a stop at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Sept. 4.

The group is using a lottery-based method to sell tickets to the show. Fans must first register on the Mumford & Sons' Invitation Onsale page, and fans who receive an email will have the opportunity to buy tickets to the Xcel concert.

Fans must register for their chance to purchase tickets by July 3, and those selected will receive an email invite on July 8.

General admission floor tickets will range from $35 to $49.99. There is a four ticket limit.

The group is still riding high off the success of their album "Babel," which made its debut at No. 1 on the Billboard's Top 200 album chart.

The Xcel concert announcement comes as Mumford & Sons' bassist Ted Dwane continues to recover from brain surgery earlier this month to remove a blood clot.

Dwane released a photo a week on the band's website a week later to show that he's on the road to recovery. It was accompanied by the caption, "Bear with a sore head! Thanks so much for all the well wishing, it seems to be working! I’m home."

The band will resume touring on Aug. 26, which includes make-up dates of three shows canceled because of Dwane's surgery.
