Summit Brewing Co. has unveiled a newly designed logo for the first time in 14 years, Twin Cities Business reports. The St. Paul-based brewery says the revamped look will officially make its debut on April 1 during the Minnesota Twins home opener at Summit’s Townball Tavern at Target Field.
"We redesigned our original logo in 1999 after Summit’s new brewery opened, and with the expansion of the brewery 14 years later, we felt it was again time to update our look," Summit founder Mark Stutrud said in a news release.
Summit has teamed up with Minneapolis-based Duffy & Partners to redesign the brand.
"The new look is an evolution of the brewery’s past two logos and carries forward the diamond shape that has been the hallmark of Summit’s brand since its inception in 1986," the brewery said.
Summit's new Meridian Session Ale will be the first beer to feature the the redesigned bottle and packaging. The brew is from Summit's new Union Series that "will focus on new raw materials and ingredients appearing on the brewing scene."
