Actress Winona Ryder is born in Winona, Minn.

Ryder would make her film debut as a teen in the movie Lucas, while appearing in blockbuster films EdwardScissorhands, Dracula, The Age ofInnoncence, Little Women, and most recently, Black Swan.

Ryder was a nominee for best supporting actress at The Golden Globes twice, while winning for The Age of Innocence in 1993.

Ryder would also appear in box office hits Mr. Deeds, Zoolander, and Girl, Interrupted, while appearing in 51 movies total and producing countless others.

Ryder gained pop culture celebrity for dating movie stars Johnny Depp and Matt Damon in the 1990s.
