If you're of Norwegian ancestry and want a shot at reality TV stardom, your time has come.

The show, also known as "The Great Norway Adventure," is Norway's top reality TV series. The show is reportedly akin to the U.S. reality series "The Amazing Race."

FOX 9 said during the series, Norwegian-Americans compete head-to-head for a $50,000 prize, and also get a chance to meet their Norwegian relatives.

The Star Tribune said last year's "Alt for Norge" competition included three contestants from the Twin Cities.

To audition, potential contestants must have Norwegian heritage and be at least 18 years old by Feb. 16, 2014. Also, applicants must never have traveled to Norway.

To get on a VIP list for auditions, interested parties can email castingnorway@gmail.com. People can also submit auditions online.
