Out of the Woods? Lindsey Vonn denies report of cheating on Tiger

St. Paul native Lindsey Vonn is denying the National Enquirer's claim that she cheated on her golfer boyfriend, Tiger Woods, the New York Daily News reports.

A representative for the Olympic Gold medal-winning skier tells the Daily News, "There is not an ounce of truth in this clearly made up story."

The National Enquirer published Tuesday an account from an "eyewitness," who claims seeing Vonn kissing an "older hunk" backstage at a Justin Timberlake and Jay Z concert last month.

"Lindsey's free hand was around his neck, drawing him closer while his hand was gripping her rear end," the eyewitness said.

The gossip tabloid also quoted a "source" about the 28-year-old Vonn's alleged dalliance, who said, “Lindsey is not a nun, -- she’s a very physical, very attractive young woman with a very strong athlete’s ego. She wants her own fame – not his. Now it looks like she's checking out the field."

The gossip-busting site Gossip Cop isn't buying the Enquirer report, saying the timing doesn't add up.

"If Vonn was cheating on Woods in front of a ton of people a month ago, as the mag alleges, it would have come out way before now," Gossip Cop said.

Vonn confirmed in a March tweet that she and Woods, 37, were dating.

Woods and his wife, Elin, divorced after a cheating scandal in 2009. Vonn divorced her husband, Thomas, in 2011.

The Minnesota-born athlete got back on her skis earlier this month for the first time since February, when she suffered serious knee injuries in a crash at the Alpine World Championships in Austria.

Speculation about her relationship with Woods began a few days later after Vonn was spotted boarding Woods’ private jet after being released from the hospital in Salzbug, Austria.
