Own a piece of music history: House from Prince's 'Purple Rain' is for sale
You could live in a piece of music history – if you're willing to put in a little bit of work.
Prince fans may remember the home – located at 3420 Snelling Avenue in south Minneapolis – as where "The Kid" lived in the Purple One's 1984 movie "Purple Rain," The Current notes.
The three-bedroom house went on the market Friday with a listing price of $110,000, Coldwell Banker Burnet says.
The Current calls this a "relatively affordable piece of Minnesota music history" – but work needs to be done on the home. (Take a virtual tour here.)
The listing says the home, built in 1913, "needs to be rehabbed," with the buyer assuming all renovation costs. The listing does note that the home has a new boiler as of 2010.
Last year marked the 30th anniversary of the film.
