Paisley Park Tours day one: Painter and Prince fan Dan Lacey's perspective

He's not planning to go inside, but has some art to share.

If you weren't able to snag a ticket for a tour of Paisley Park, you can always go across the street where local painter, Dan Lacey, has put up a block-long, and very unofficial, "art walk" of his paintings of Prince.

If you don't know who Dan Lacey is, you should.

He's the guy who sold a nude painting of Justin Bieber to musician Macklemore.

He is mostly known for his paintings of iconic people with pancakes on their heads -- like these ones of Barack Obama and Sarah Palin.

Lacey does not plan on taking a tour of Prince's studio.

"I paint from my imagination, and I'm just afraid that if I go in there it will kill my impetus to paint," Lacey said.

Lacey says the paintings are being donated to a number of local recipients and are not for sale, but will be hanging up for the three tour days.
