Peter Frampton, Linda Eder, ZZ Top announce Twin Cities concert dates
Rock legend Peter Frampton is coming alive again in the Twin Cities.
The Hennepin Theatre Trust announced Monday that Frampton's Guitar Circus will play the State Theatre July 21.
Frampton -- who burst onto the scene in 1976 with his landmark album "Frampton Comes Alive!" and scored such hits as "Show Me the Way," "Baby I Love Your Way" and "Do You Feel We Do" -- will be featured along with blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
The Hennepin Theatre Trust also says former Minnesotan Linda Eder will return to Minneapolis for a concert with the Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus for a concert at the Pantages Theatre Aug. 24.
Eder, who was born in Tuscon, Ariz., and raised in Brainerd, had an unprecedented 12-week run on the TV talent show "Star Search" before originating the role of Lucy in the Broadway smash "Jekyl and Hyde." She's since recorded 14 albums.
Iconic rockers ZZ Top ("Sharped Dress Man," "Cheap Sunglasses") also announced an Aug. 6 concert at the Myth Night Club in St. Paul.
Tickets for Frampton's Guitar Circus, ZZ Top and Linda Eder all go on sale Friday.
