The Starkey Hearing Foundation held its 17th annual “So The World May Hear Awards Gala” in St. Paul on Sunday. It was a star-studded event emceed by comedian Sinbad with rocking performances from Steven Tyler, John Fogerty and Darius Rucker that had the crowd dancing in the aisles in their tuxedos & ball gowns as well as moving performances by Portia Clark, Grace VanderWaal and ARIA. Actor Ben Affleck was one of several people being honored for their charitable work – in his case, the “Humanitarian of the Year” award for his work in the Congo. The gala was preceded by a massive Red Carpet walk by the many performers, athletes and other celebs that attended.
