Meteorologists are keeping a close eye on a low-pressure system that's on track to rumble through the Upper Midwest Sunday-Tuesday, and it could bring quite a bit of snow to parts of Minnesota.

KSTP's Jonathan Yuhas posted a map on Twitter that shows 6-12 inches of snow possible Monday into Tuesday for northern and central Minnesota.

Meanwhile the southern half of the state could get rain and thunder on Sunday into Monday and then 1-3 inches of snow Tuesday.

The National Weather Service-Twin Cities isn't being as bold, but they do say one computer model is pointing towards "a potential headline snow event," especially for west-central Minnesota.

Of course, this storm is still three full days away and we all know what that means: it could easily change.

We'll keep you posted once predictions for snowfall amounts start coming in.
