Prince stretched the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas to 3 a.m. Sunday, the Star Tribune reports.

The Minnesota pop legend performed six encores at the invite-only performance thrown by Samsung Galaxy.

“We’re gonna show you how we do it in Minneapolis,” he told the crowd.

USA Today says a 22-piece band joined Prince for the two and a half hour jam session, which included classic hits like Purple Rain.

Earlier this month, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer lit-up “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” with a two-song set featuring his new all-girl group 3rd Eye Girl.

However, the artist was criticized on places like Twitter for borrowing the prized guitar of Fallon’s house band member, Kirk Douglas, then wrecking it.
