A Prior Lake mother of three was crowned the new Mrs. Minnesota at an event Saturday night in St. Paul.

Elizabeth Walgrave, a legal consultant and entrepreneur, will represent the state in Las Vegas in July in the five-day Mrs. United States Pageant.

The Mrs. United States pageant boasts of being the "premier" pageant for married women, but it's not the only one. The Mrs. International Pageant will be held in July in Florida; a March contest in St. Cloud will determine that contest's Minnesota representative. Last year it was Andrea Xiong.

Walgrave accepted the crown Sunday from Mrs. Minnesota 2013 Gloria Parnell, of Woodbury.
