Update: Prof posts GoFundMe after tour van burglarized

It happened in California.

Prof has just posted a GoFundMe page to help defray the costs of replacing a whole van full of stolen gear, cash, and personal items valued at $28,000.

"After a HUGE donation by Pabst Blue Ribbon/Craig from PBR/PRB TC and the items insurance will cover, we are still $16,500 short of covering the equipment and personal items that were lost," the page reads.

The burglary not only affected Prof, but also tourmates Metasota and Willie Wonka, their photographer Cody Otte, and the Time Bomb tour manager.

The original story, published January 30, is below.

Minneapolis rapper Prof just lost thousands of dollars in gear after his tour van was burglarized on Monday in California.

Currently on the road with fellow Minnesota hip-hop acts Finding Novyon, Metasota, and Willie Wonka, Prof just posted this:

Got robbed. Van smashed. Violated.

Posted by PROF on Monday, January 30, 2017

On the rapper's Snapchat and Instagram, video shows a van with broken windows and its contents strewn about. Prof said computers, hard drives, microphones, DJ equipment, luggage, and passports were stolen. "All in all, I would say 30 to 40,000 dollars stolen," he said.

"Before asking for help, figuring out what we need," Prof's manager Mike Campbell told GoMN. Once they do, he said that they would launch a GoFundMe campaign, which will be added to this post.

With nearly a month left on Prof's current Time Bomb Tour, this development could put future shows in question, but Campbell isn't worried.

"Ain't nothing stopping this sh*t," he said. "We've had two bad alternators, a huge laborious expensive coolant leak, and now this. We ain't stopping."
