Multiple news outlets are citing unidentified law enforcement sources in reporting that Prince had prescription painkillers in his possession when he was found dead at Paisley Park last week.

CBS News says two sources confirmed the presence of painkillers but said they had no information about whether the medications played a role in Prince's death.

KSTP reports its sources said painkiller were found at the scene but the sources were not specific about where the medications were.

According to NBC, the Carver County Sheriff's office has asked the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for help determining what prescriptions Prince had and where they came from.

Prince's autopsy was completed last Friday but officials say results will not be released until tests are complete, which could take weeks.

Emergency landing in Moline

More details about the emergency landing Prince's private plane made in Moline, Illinois, less than a week before his death are also emerging.

Ambulance records released Wednesday indicate Prince was unconscious when the plane landed, the Star Tribune reports, and paramedics worked to revive him in an ambulance on the way to a hospital.

While the redacted documents from Moline do not describe the paramedics' efforts, the newspaper says several sources indicate Prince was given a shot of the opioid antidote Narcan.

Also on Wednesday a judge granted the request of Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, by naming Bremer Trust to be the administrator of Prince's estate for the time being since the superstar apparently had no will.
