CBS Films announced that they have purchased the rights to the next film from Minnesota-born filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen.
The studio said Tuesday that it will distribute "Inside Llewyn Davis," which follows an aspiring singer-songwriter (Oscar Isaac) during the 1960s folk music scene in New York City's Greenwich Village.
The film, which was written, directed and produced by the Coen brothers, also stars Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Carey Mulligan.
Other actors in the film include Roseau, Minn. native Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) and Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham ("Amadeus").
The film was mostly shot in New York City, but the Coens sent second-unit filmmakers to Medford, Minn. (near Faribault) in March to get footage of country roads, as well entrances and exits off two-lane highways, KAAL TV reported.
"Inside Llewyn Davis" does not yet have a U.S. release date.
