Berry had a huge influence on the music industry. Pitchfork says the "Maybellene," "Roll Over Beethoven," and "Johnny B. Goode" songwriter inspired other greats – like the Beatles, Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones, and countless others.

In 1985, Berry was added to the Blues Foundation’s Blues Hall of Fame, Billboard adds. The following year, he became one of the first inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
