Rock legend Chuck Berry dies at 90

He inspired other greats – like the Beatles, Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones, and countless others.

One of the greats of rock music, Chuck Berry, has died.

According to ABC, the 90-year-old was found unresponsive Saturday around 1:40 p.m. in Missouri, where he was from.

Berry had a huge influence on the music industry. Pitchfork says the "Maybellene," "Roll Over Beethoven," and "Johnny B. Goode" songwriter inspired other greats – like the Beatles, Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones, and countless others.

In 1985, Berry was added to the Blues Foundation’s Blues Hall of Fame, Billboard adds. The following year, he became one of the first inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

FOX2Now in St. Louis says Berry was set to release a new album this year – his first in more than 35 years. It's called "Chuck," and Rolling Stone has called it one of the most anticipated albums of 2017.
