Sarah Silverman schedules stand-up date at Mystic Lake

Sharp-tongued comedian and actress Sarah Silverman will be bringing her stand-up act to Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in July, the venue announced.

Silverman, who has starred in more than a dozen films and in TV's 'The Sarah Silverman Program' in addition to doing her stand-up, will play the Mystic Showroom July 21.

Tickets go on sale Saturday.

She made headlines a week ago when a reporter asked legendary comedian Jerry Lewis if he changed his opinion about women not being funny because of comics like Silverman and Melissa McCarthy. Lewis responded, "I can't see women doing that. It bothers me."
