Seventh Street Truck Park's new DIY hot chocolate spot will offer a sweet, boozy treat

Seventh Street Truck Park launched a new DIY hot chocolate truck.

Froot Loops on hot chocolate isn't necessarily our first choice for a topping.

But at a DIY hot chocolate bar, you can sprinkle whatever you want on the mountain of whipped cream floating in your mug.

Maybe even get it with a splash of booze.

Seventh Street Truck Park is the road trip-inspired indoor food hall that opened in St. Paul last summer. We went there shortly after – here's our inside look:

The park launched a new build-your-own Hot Chocolate Bar Truck, according to a news release – just a few weeks before Jan. 31, National Hot Chocolate Day.

You'll get a cup of hot chocolate with some whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

Then there will be candy and cereals to put on top: Froot Loops, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Pebbles, assorted chocolates, marshmallows, other candies, and sprinkles.

So if you prefer savory over sweet, this might not be the best option for you.

You can also order your hot chocolate "truck park style" – spiked with booze.

Options include Jameson, Fireball, Bailey’s, Kahlua, Rumple Minze and Amaretto.

If you're not familiar with Seventh Street Truck Park, it's basically a cool cafeteria. There are road trip-inspired eats served from vintage autos, with items including buttermilk fried chicken, Kool-Aid-based cocktails, and pizza with "bizarre toppings" like rattlesnake.

The food truck park is located at 214 7th St. West in St. Paul, just a block away from the Xcel Energy Center.
