The soundtrack for Minnesota-born filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen's latest movie "Inside Llewyn Davis" was released Monday, but fans can still get an advanced listen of the recordings from the folk music tale online.

National Public Radio is currently streaming the soundtrack of the film as part of an exclusive agreement with the soundtrack's label, Nonesuch Records.

The soundtrack features 14 songs from the movie, including tunes by stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake.

"Inside Llewyn Davis" follows the struggles of a musician as he navigates the folk music scene in New York City's Greenwich Village in 1961. Isaac, who stars as the title character, sings and plays guitar in the film.

The soundtrack appears to have won favor with outlets that have had an early listen. Slate said there are "several gorgeous recordings" on the release, while Empire online called the collection a "wonderfully engaging folk score."

Joel Coen, 58, and Ethan Coen, 55, co-wrote, co-directed and co-produced "Inside Llewyn Davis." They also co-edited the film under their editing pseudonym Roderick Jaynes.

Also starring John Goodman and Roseau native Garrett Hedlund, "Inside Llewyn Davis" opens in limited release Dec. 6 before expanding into more theaters Dec. 20.
