Already the only place in Minnesota where you can find luxury retailers like Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton, the Galleria in Edina is expanding (again) with even more exclusive, high-end stores.

The Twin Cities mall announced the arrival of four new tenants, including Soft Surroundings, a St. Louis, Missouri-based chain that focuses on upscale women's apparel and "high quality beauty and home goods."

A Tuesday release from the mall says it'll be the first Soft Surroundings in Minnesota. The space is expected to be over 4,000 square feet.

But the Galleria is also giving Minnesota-based retailers their due.

Roe Wolf, a women's clothing boutique and "apothecary retailer," will be getting a permanent space at the mall after finding success with a "pop-up" location there earlier this year.

And Big Island Swim & Surf Company, a locally owned "resort wear boutique," will be opening its second Galleria location, in a newly expanded area of the shopping center.

The new stores are set to open by the end of this year.

Other stuff in the works

Also moving into the new 20,000-square-foot expansion area in 2017 is a Starbucks, which the Galleria says will include a fancy indoor/outdoor fireplace and a patio.

The announcement comes as the mall's big expansion project (which is in the northeast part of the mall) draws to a close, the Star Tribune reports.

The project also includes the recently revamped Barnes & Noble – which features one of the only "Barnes & Noble Kitchen" locations in the country.

The Star Tribune also says there are still a couple of unfilled new retail spaces, and that the mall is in negotiations for tenants.
