Minneapolis rock-star confectioner Glam Doll Donuts is expanding beyond its south Minneapolis home on Eat Street.

A new location could open as soon as December in Northeast Minneapolis, on the Central Avenue side of the Red 20 apartment building.

Teresa Fox, who co-owns Glam Doll with Arwyn Birch, confirmed the details to The Journal. She noted an expanded menu as well as beer, wine, and mimosas will be offered at the new location, which will be about the same size as the current shop.

The first Glam Doll Donuts opened in 2013 to considerable acclaim.

In addition to local musician-based delights – including donuts dedicated to Jeremy Messersmith and P.O.S – the shop has been hired for frequent special orders featuring elaborate frosting calligraphy to depict First Avenue stars, and other big acts (like this Paul McCartney tribute).
