Taylor Swift made a Mankato girl's dream come true Saturday night when the pop-country superstar met with her before the first of two concerts at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, FOX 9 reports.
Madison Harbarth, 7, met Swift as part of wish granted by the Kids Wish Network. Harbarth suffers from a rare condition that caused her spine to stop growing in utero.
Harbarth's mother, Pam, tells FOX 9 that she got a phone call Friday night to find out Madison's wish was being granted.
Pam Harbarth says she had to sit down when she got the call from Swift's publicist and asked, "Are you sure this for real?"
Madison Harbarth says she was too nervous to talk with Swift, but does specifically remember saying one thing.
"I told Taylor, 'I wore out your CD,'" she told FOX 9.
In addition to her meet-and-greet with her idol, the girl got a special note from Swift, saying, "To Madison: You are beautiful and perfect. Love, Taylor."
"She was nice and tall and pretty," Harbarth told FOX 9.
Swift impressed Pam Harbarth and her husband, Rick, too, after seeing Madison make a face like she's never seen before when the girl met Swift.
"I think Rick and I were more starstruck because we both had tears in our eyes because our daughter is getting to fulfill the biggest dream of her life," Pam Harbarth told FOX 9.
The Harbarths apparently weren't the only person impressed by Swift.
The Star Tribune reports that Swift dazzled 14,000 concertgoers Saturday night "with easily the most fully realized production of her three arena tours."
