EDM-pop DJ/producer duo the Chainsmokers are the latest act to be announced for Super Bowl weekend in the Twin Cities, joining Florida Georgia Line and two yet-to-be-announced headliners.
Like their twangy colleagues in FGL, the Chainsmokers are slated to perform at Club Nomadic, a massive "pop-up nightclub" that will be erected in Prior Lake adjacent to Mystic Lake Casino, a co-presenter of the show.
Tickets for the Thursday night performance will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 1 on Ticketmaster's website, and set you back $200 for general admission. V.I.P. will be available directly through Club Nomadic's website.
The Chainsmokers are no strangers to Club Nomadic or the Super Bowl, having helped pack the 9,500 capacity temporary nightclub during last year's festivities in Houston.
The Super Bowl announcement comes on the heels of a strong year for The Chainsmokers, who won a GRAMMY and an American Music Award on the back of their platinum-certified debut album Memories...Do Not Open.
With Thursday night and Saturday night filled, Mystic Lake and Club Nomadic promise two more "heart-stopping" acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
