R&B icon Usher rode shotgun for The Late Late Show with James Corden's signature bit, Carpool Karaoke. It starts fairly predictably with Usher's ubiquitous 2004 hit "Yeah," complete with Corden handling Ludacris' rap. But once the discussion of "poppin' bottles in the club" begins, things go off the rails in the best of ways.

Usher gives Corden a lesson on how to walk into the club as the host's muscle memory keeps converting it into Broadway choreography, and that's only the beginning.

What's noteworthy about this installment is how the most compelling moments don't actually come from the songs themselves. Rather, seeing Usher stopping by his Hollywood star, helping push a stranger's broken-down car and at one point explain his use of a certain five-letter-word really paints the singer in a new light.

Usher will be performing at the Minnesota State Fair on August 31. No word yet if he's going to be carpooling to get here.

- No longer Spooky Black, the artist currently known as Corbin announced tour dates and a new song "Ice Boy."

- Russ channels Alanis Morissette for his multi-Russ video "Me You."

- The entire A$AP Mob is going on tour, including Rocky, Ferg, Carti, the whole dang Mob.

- Hit your tape recorders, Meek Mill just dropped a DJ Clue freestyle.
