The Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming to Minnesota.

The rock band announced its 2017 North American tour Monday, following a summer in which the Red Hot Chili Peppers headlined festivals and performing in Europe, Rolling Stone says.

The tour, in support of the band's 11th studio album "The Getaway," kicks off Jan. 5 in San Antonio, and will make a stop at the Target Center in Minneapolis on Jan. 21, a news release says.

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, as well as Jack Irons (the band's former drummer), will be joining Red Hot Chili Peppers on the first leg of the tour, including the Minneapolis show.

Tickets – priced at $101 or $51 – go on sale Friday at noon at TargetCenter.com, AXS.com, the Target Center box office, or by calling 888-9-AXS-TIX. Fan club ticket pre-sale is Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.

A four-ticket limit will be "strictly enforced," the release notes. And each ticket comes with your pick of either a physical or digital copy of "The Getaway."

The album, which was released in June, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Album Sales Chart and at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200. It's been getting "generally favorable" reviews by critics, according to Meta Critic.
