Tim McGraw, 'Prairie Home' join Fair Grandstand act lineup


It could be "One of Those Nights," so save your "Last Dollar"

Country crooner Tim McGraw is coming back to the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand for a fifth time, Aug. 27, the fair announced. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($71 and $56). McGraw, 46, has had a string of No. 1 songs and also visited the Twin Cities for a first-ever concert at Target Field, in 2012.

Other recently announced acts planned for the Grandstand: Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" (Aug. 29, tickets go on sale at noon Saturday, $32 and $25) and teen pop groups Fifth Harmony and Cimorelli (Aug. 24), according to the fair. It'll be Keillor's 10th appearance at the fair Grandstand.

Other previously announced acts include Kid Rock and Linkin Park.

The 2014 Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 21 – Labor Day, Sept. 1.

McGraw is among the top repeat acts at the fair, joining the likes of Vince Gill, REO Speedwagon and Bob Hope, who also made five appearances, according to a fair list. Among the acts who have returned most often to the Grandstand stage:
