Even though the fourth season of Andrew Zimmern's "Bizzare Foods America" is barely underway, the Travel Channel is wasting no time in locking up the Minnesota-based celebrity chef and TV host for another.

Deadline Hollywood reports that the show has been renewed by the Travel Channel for a fifth season. Season four premiered July 1.

The renewal comes a couple months after the show earned Zimmern a prestigious James Beard Award for Outstanding Personality/Host.

Zimmern and co-producer Colleen Needles Steward were also nominated for the Best On-Location TV Program Award by the James Beard Foundation.

The honor, however, went to Anthony Bourdain’s “The Mind of a Chef.”

“Bizarre Foods America” is produced by Needles Steward's Tremendous! Entertainment, which has offices in Eden Prairie and North Hollywood, Calif.
