A trio of classic comedians from NBC's "Saturday Night Live" are taking stage at this year's Great Minnesota Get-Together, the Pioneer Press reports.
Dana Carvey, Dennis Miller and Kevin Nealon have to added to Minnesota State Fair's Grandstand lineup Aug. 22.
While Miller predominantly sat behind the "SNL Weekend Update" anchor desk, Carvey and a Nealon played a variety of characters during their tenure on the show, ranging from the uptight Church Lady (Carvey) to Arnold Schwarzenegger-like body builders Hans (Carvey) and Franz (Nealon).
Also returning to the Grandstand lineup are the Happy Together Tour and MN Music on a Stick.
The Happy Together Tour Aug. 26 includes classic '60s acts including the Turtles, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Gary Lewis and the Playboys and members of Three Dog Night and Paul Revere and the Raiders, including Raiders lead singer Mark Lindsay.
MN Music on a Stick is set for Aug. 30, featuring Minnesota artists Trampled by Turtles as the headliner, and supporting acts including singer/songwriter Mason Jennings and the hip-hop group the Chalice. More local artists are expected to be added to the bill.
Tickets for the "SNL" comedy trio, the Happy Together Tour and MN Music on a Stick all go on sale May 19 on Etix.com, by phone at 800-514-3849 and at the State Fair box office from 10 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Previously announced acts that will play the Grandstand this year include Depeche Mode (Aug. 27), the 2013 Internet Cat Video Festival (Aug. 28), Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (Aug. 31) and Tim McGraw (Sept. 2).
