Two day 'Rock the Garden' lineup set


The 2014 lineup for Rock the Garden has been announced. The lineup includes De La Soul, Spoon and Guided by Voices amongst several other groups over the two-day event.

The full lineup was announced on Tuesday by The Current, who co-produces the annual concert.

According to KARE 11, Rock the Garden has traditionally sold out in minutes. It draws over 10,000 people to the event, which occurs outside of the Walker Art Center on June 21 and 22.

The Saturday lineup includes:

– De La Soul

– Matt and Kim

– Best Coast

– Jeremy Messersmith

City Pages reports organizers also say Saturday's lineup includes an "artist we can't announce yet." According to the report, it will not be The Replacements.

Sunday's lineup includes:

– Spoon

– Guided by Voices

– Dessa

– Kurt Vile and Violators

– Valerie June

Concert planners added the second day to welcome more concertgoers after Rock the Gardens consistently sold out quickly in recent years, the Star Tribune reported.

Tickets for Rock the Garden go on sale to MPR and Walker Art Center members first on Thursday. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday at 11 a.m.
