When U2 brings The Joshua Tree tour to Minnesota this fall, they'll be accompanied by the guy known for two turn tables and a microphone.

We're talking about Beck, of course. The multi-talented musician will join U2 as a special guest for seven shows on The Joshua Tree Tour 2017, the band announced Saturday. That includes their stop at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sept. 8.

The Irish rockers are touring on the back of the 30th anniversary of their 1987 album, The Joshua Tree, which features major hits including “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “With or Without You,” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” It's arguably their best album.

Meanwhile, Beck has released 12 albums since 1993. The four-time platinum artist won three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, for his 2014 album "Morning Phase."

Tickets go on sale Monday, June 12 at 11 a.m. – the stadium's website says prices start at $35.00, though they'll likely climb much higher. Subscribers of the band's fan club got the first chance at tickets during an exclusive pre-sale earlier this week.

The Star Tribune predicts general admission floor tickets going for $70 could well see attendance break the 50,000 record set by Metallica.

U2 will become the third major act to play the stadium this summer, joining Guns ‘N Roses on July 30 and Coldplay on Aug. 12.

And the show will take place just three days before the Minnesota Vikings play their first regular season game, a Monday Night Football contest against the New Orleans Saints.
