In traditional Oktoberfest fashion, the brewery will be celebrating marriage.

Utepils Brewing – a Minneapolis brewery that focuses on classic, European-style beers – is bringing tradition to its Oktoberfest celebration this year.

"If you can’t make it to the tents in Munich for Oktoberfest, this will be your next best bet," Utepils owner Dan Justesen said in a statement, noting they're going "all out" for the Sept. 15-17 event.

Not only will Utepils be brewing a limited edition of a new Oktoberfest beer called Receptional, but it plans to hold a mass vow renewal.

Why? Well, that's tradition.

Oktoberfest started as a wedding celebration for German royals, where thousands of people would show up to raise a glass to the newlyweds.

Utepils hopes to "capture that spirit" with its mass, nondenominational vow renewal ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 16.

And, as part of the ceremony, Annie and Kyle – who met in college – will exchange vows for the first time. Utepils says Kyle is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and he'll only be home in Minnesota for a "short leave" before he heads to Fort Hood, Texas.

Want to renew your vows?

If you want to renew your vows, you can sign up to participate in the vow renewal ceremony on the Utepils website, or visit thetaproom to sign up in person.

Vow renewal certificates will be given to the couples who sign up in advance.
