Yep, you read that correctly. JonnyPops is giving away free food this weekend.

Sunday is National Ice Cream Day and Minnesota-based Jonny Pops is celebrating by giving away free frozen treats to the first 1,000 people who stop by its headquarters in St. Louis Park.

That's 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday outside the building at 3600 Alabama Ave. S.

If you can't make that, the all-natural fruit pop company is going to be offering all-you-can-eat treats at the Minnesota State Fair. For just $10, you'll be able to come back over and over again for frozen snacks.

The only catch is you have to do the good deed printed on the stick and bring the stick back. There are good deeds on every JonnyPops stick, but these will be specific to the state fair.

The company says it’s "hoping to share 150,000 acts of kindness during the fair" this way.

GoMN recently visited JonnyPops

We recently went down to the JonnyPops headquarters for a tour and to talk to one of the founders. You can see all that in the video above.

GoMN's Josette Elieff and Zeke Uriah Salo also had the opportunity to taste all seven pop flavors: Strawberry, raspberry blueberry, mango, pineapple coconut, chocolate coffee, strawberry banana, and banana cinnamon.

We also got to try the exclusive Chocolate-Dipped Cherry On-a-Spoon pop that was inspired by the Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture in Minneapolis. That one is only sold at the Walker Art Center and the State Fair.

Every pop we tried, we really liked. They taste just like the fruit they're named after – which makes sense because the pops have no more than six ingredients and are made with 100 percent real fruit and cream.

JonnyPops can be found in stores all over the country. To find a retailer, click here.
