Barely had The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon started taking names for its post-Super Bowl show in Minneapolis, its waitlist was all filled up.

Applications to be on the waitlist for the taping at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis on Super Bowl Sunday started being accepted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

By 10:38 a.m., the Tonight Show announced the waitlist was full, not just for the full show, but also the rehearsals of Fallon's monologue.

Judging by some responses on social media, it probably filled up a lot faster than 8 minutes.

It means plenty of disappointed fans for those who couldn't get on in time, and there will be even more disappointment in the future when people find out whether they're among the lucky few to be selected for the audience.

Typically when you apply, you'll be placed onto a waiting list, with the show contacting you within two weeks if you've successfully got tickets.

If you don't hear anything, you don't get tickets.

Guests for the show haven't yet been announced, but you can probably expect to see Justin Timberlake considering he's doing the half-time show.

If you didn't get on, don't be too down. The taping starts at 5 p.m., so if you go you're probably going to miss the Vikings playing in the Super Bowl...
